So I am sitting in the library researching weblogs, credibility, and the role they play in celebrity tabloid culture and gossip blogs.
Random musing #1: So I’m reading this journal study and I scroll down to the references section to find the source of a particular quote. When I get there, I read the authors of the source material and realize that it’s one of my past Communication professors. This oddly satisfying feeling came over me… weird.

Hey, Monday - Where'd You Come From?
Today has been… well rounded.
I went to the library for 3 hours, worked the rest of the time, found a road bike I want, and apparently interviewed for a position on the UCSB Reel Loud Film Festival committee? I just thought I was going in to talk about volunteering… I had no idea I was interviewing for a position, but somoneeeee signed me up for an interview spot. Completely unexpected. I’m interested to see where this goes…
The year-end results for the SBCRC (Santa Barbara County Riding Club) 2009 Show Season were posted today. I ended up:
- Reserve Champion in the Low Children’s Adult Amateur Jumper Division
- Champion in the Children’s Adult Amateur Jumper Division
- 3rd in Level 2 Jumpers Division
Not too bad for attending only 4 out of the 5 shows in the show circuit, right? I’m excited for the Awards Banquet in January.
Today’s pet peeve: Seriously, get your own life and stop living vicariously through the personalities, quotes, philosophies, and ambitions of others. It doesn’t make you interesting - just an annoying poser stuck in the crowd. Do something remotely original for once. God damn.
